About the position

The Electrical Technician at Tacony Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering design and development of electrical control and automation systems for floorcare cleaning and sanitation products. This hands-on position involves configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical control systems and prototypes, ensuring that innovative products run smoothly. Responsibilities

  • Configure, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems and prototypes.
  • Assist with testing and diagnosing causes of malfunctions or failures in systems, devices, and instruments.
  • Document and record testing procedures and track performance results.
  • Recommend equipment replacements as needed and maintain an inventory of supplies and tools essential for testing and maintenance.
  • Support, review, and validate equipment and electrical controls for domestic and international markets, ensuring regulatory compliance and certification.
  • Assemble, install, test, and modify experimental and operational electrical machinery, equipment, circuitry, and components according to established procedures and engineering specifications.
  • Establish processes and tools to create a robust data management system for electrical engineering documentation.
  • Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline by escalating issues at the appropriate time.
  • Confirm system's and components' capabilities by designing testing methods and properties.
  • Read and understand electronics schematics and decipher circuit diagram functions.

Requirements

  • Associates' degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting electrical design by reviewing, validating, and testing electrical controls and equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience working with electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience validating and specifying electrical components that comply with US and World regulatory agencies.
  • Adept at interpreting project and product needs, developing product requirements, and executing with a cross-functional development team.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite and business intelligence tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with various Regulatory Agencies globally preferred.
