About the position

The Electrical Test Engineer II at Amazon Robotics will be a key member of the Hardware Test Engineering team, focusing on the design and testing of next-generation robotic systems. This role involves planning, designing, executing, and documenting tests for electrical systems and components, with an emphasis on automation and improving product quality. The engineer will lead the development of test strategies and solutions for new products, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure adherence to requirements and enhance efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, execute, and document testing of electrical systems and components.
  • Develop test fixtures and documentation, and create test reports.
  • Collaborate with hardware development, regulatory & compliance, and program management teams.
  • Lead and develop test strategies and solutions for new products.
  • Work with other Test Engineers and developers to determine tools and techniques for testing.
  • Review and provide feedback on project requirements and develop test plans.

Requirements

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of test development engineering experience.
  • Experience as lead on medium to large sized projects.
  • Knowledge of test equipment and test fixture design.
  • Demonstrated expertise with test strategy development and implementation.
  • Bench top electrical debug tool experience and electrical design of test circuitry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans.
  • Basic scripting experience in Python, Matlab, or LabVIEW.
  • Experience with electric motors and motor test methodology.
  • Experience in circuit level debug to the component level.
  • Schematic capture tool experience for designing low-level interface boards.
  • Knowledge of Industrial power and automation.
