About the position

The Electrical Test Engineer at Actalent is responsible for ensuring compliance with aerospace industry test standards. This role involves writing detailed test plans, defining support equipment, planning and executing tests, managing data, and communicating with engineering and program managers. The engineer will also supervise laboratory tests and prepare comprehensive reports summarizing test results and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Write detailed test plans and procedures in accordance with RTCA DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-704, and MIL-STD-461.
• Define and specify necessary support equipment for tests, including wiring harnesses, electrical interfaces, vibration fixtures, and instrumentation.
• Plan, conduct, and evaluate tests to ensure compliance with required standards.
• Collect and analyze data methodically to present findings to customers and management.
• Regularly update Engineering Managers and Program Managers on testing status.
• Coordinate test witnessing and schedules with customers and test facilities.
• Supervise outside laboratory tests as necessary.
• Write comprehensive test reports summarizing test results and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering.
• Minimum of three years of related experience in aerospace testing.
