About the position

The Electrical Test Engineer will support the testing and integration of battery management systems (BMS) for various applications, ensuring compliance with functional and certification requirements. This role involves collaboration with hardware teams, development of test automation tools, and validation of hardware and software components within the system.

Responsibilities

• Validating the BMS for functional and certification requirements per standards and aircraft level requirements
• Assisting battery system architects & designers from a test coverage perspective
• Automating test cases and developing test tools required for BMS testing
• Collaborating with hardware teams on hardware testing and validation
• Supporting HIL test system development and integration with Simulink environment
• Developing test cases and troubleshooting system brings up
• Using HIL system to verify different ECU hardware, software, and algorithms
• Developing test scripts for hardware testers used in regression tests of ESS or modules
• Testing BMS hardware for complex hardware/firmware interlaced tests to support BMS electrical engineering design

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher
• 3 years of relevant experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with RT test system operation such as dSPACE, NI, Speedgoat
• Good electrical engineering fundamentals with understanding of instrument handling like power supplies, loads, oscilloscopes, etc.
• Programming skills in Simulink and Python
• Good understanding of communication buses like SPI, Ethernet, and CAN
• Self-motivated and forward-thinking personality
