Keweenaw Waters Resort is seeking a dedicated Electrician to join our team in Houghton, Michigan. The ideal candidate for this role will either possess a Master Electrician's license or be a motivated Journeyman Electrician who is eager to achieve Master certification within a year. You will work closely with our Master Electrician, gaining essential knowledge and experience that will support our projects. All work is based in the Houghton, Michigan area, allowing you to enjoy the benefit of being home every night, thus eliminating long drives and out-of-town work commitments. Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components in new construction projects and existing older buildings, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing effective and timely solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
- Collaborate with contractors, builders, and other team members to complete projects efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Provide exceptional customer service, addressing business needs and concerns promptly and professionally.
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license in the state of Michigan required.
- Willingness to obtain an Electrical Contractors License.
- 1 or more years' experience as a Journeyman Electrician required.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Willingness to be available for emergency call-outs if needed.

- $87,000 annually for Journeyman Electrician; negotiable.
- $97,000 annually for Master Electrician; negotiable.
- $10,000 sign-on bonus.
