About the position

The Electrician Apprentice position at American Airlines Center is a part-time role that provides essential support to Master Electricians, Journeyman Electricians, and Maintenance Electricians. This position is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of electrical systems within one of the nation's premier arenas, which hosts over 200 live events each year and serves more than 2 million guests. The Electrician Apprentice will be involved in various tasks that contribute to the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, ensuring that the venue remains safe and functional for all events. The role includes performing preventive maintenance on lamps and fixtures, running temporary cables for shows, and assisting in the inventory management of electrical supplies. The Electrician Apprentice is also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the electrical room and performing both semi-skilled and unskilled labor related to the installation and repair of electrical systems. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively with other electricians to complete projects efficiently and effectively. Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma or GED and have a minimum of three years of related experience or training. A State of Texas Apprentice Electrician license is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively, follow instructions, and adapt to changes in the work environment. Responsibilities

• Assist Master Electrician, Journeyman Electrician, and Maintenance Electrician in various tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on lamps and fixtures.
• Run temporary cables for shows.
• Count and receive inventory of electrical supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of the electrical room.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years related experience and/or training.
• State of Texas Apprentice Electrician license and compliance with Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations requirements.
