About the position

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a Night Shift Maintenance Electrician for their Servtex quarry in New Braunfels, Texas. This role involves performing essential electrical maintenance and repairs on various equipment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and supporting operational needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic corrective, preventive, and predictive plant maintenance.
• Conduct electrical repair and maintenance on crushing, screening, and mobile equipment components.
• Maintain and repair electrical systems in ready mix concrete and hot mix asphalt plants.
• Manage tool and parts inventory for specified jobs.
• Perform scale and automation checks for concrete and asphalt plants.
• Produce accurate estimates and project costs for maintenance projects.
• Complete maintenance projects in a timely manner to meet production goals.
• Maintain up-to-date records on all equipment repairs in spreadsheets.
• Ensure all equipment repairs are performed to manufacturer standards.
• Comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Assist with physical inspections of plant property and report unsafe conditions.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of electrical experience is required.
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or certification is strongly preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior maintenance experience is a plus.
• Some welding experience desired.
• Experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products is a plus.
• MSHA Part 48 training is a plus.
