Electrician - Fort Carson - Colorado Springs, CO

About the position

The Electrician position at Amentum involves performing a variety of electrical trade functions, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment at Fort Carson, Colorado. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to work from blueprints and specifications. The Electrician will be responsible for ensuring a safe work environment and adhering to quality standards while providing critical mission support.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, and circuit breakers.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications to complete electrical tasks.
• Locate and diagnose issues in electrical systems or equipment.
• Perform standard computations related to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
• Utilize a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring/testing instruments.
• Participate in safety training and emergency response tasks as required.
• Conform to Amentum's Quality Policy and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Minimum of six (6) years journey-level experience in electrical systems.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship or equivalent vocational/technical training program.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English effectively.
• Must possess and maintain a State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician License.
• Valid Colorado Driver License required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
