About the position

The Electrical Technician position at Freeport-McMoRan involves the removal, repair, and installation of electrical components, along with troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of industrial electrical and instrumentation equipment. Responsibilities

• Removal, repair, and installation of electrical components.
• Assist in the safe completion of routine and non-routine repairs.
• Perform preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Assist with troubleshooting of industrial electrical and/or instrumentation equipment.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• One year of electrical experience OR Associate's degree in electrical OR Electrical JTED certification.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards.
• Effective written, verbal, and communication skills to satisfy training and safety policies.
• Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Completion of academic and practical competencies required for the position.
