About the position
HRI, Inc. is seeking Electricians to join their team in Central Pennsylvania. This role is crucial for the Utilities Construction Region, focusing on water and wastewater treatment plant construction as well as large municipal pipe projects. The position offers year-round work and requires travel to various project sites.
Responsibilities
- Read Electrical Power & Control drawings and take direction from project foreman
- Cut, bend, and install various types of conduits (PVC, EMT, GRC, IMC, PVC-COATED, etc.)
- Install various wire types and troubleshoot electrical problems with existing systems
- Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components using testing instruments
- Observe functioning of installed equipment or systems to determine hazards and need for adjustments
- Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid drivers' license with a clean driving history
- Electrical Apprenticeship or Journeyman certification
- Previous experience and knowledge with commercial electrical installation and/or related fields preferred
