Electrician

About the position

The Electrician position at ASSA ABLOY involves installing and repairing electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures, ensuring compliance with electrical codes. The role is essential for maintaining the safety and functionality of electrical systems within the company’s operations in Russellville, Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in gate housings.
• Ensure wiring complies with electrical codes.
• Build control panels per drawings and mount components on sub panels.
• Measure and pull wire to install on sub panels and into electrical boxes.
• Install wired electrical boxes into mechanical housings.
• Fit parts accurately to high quality standards.
• Perform any other roles and responsibilities as determined by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; college preferred.
• 2+ years of experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical prints.
• Knowledge of 3 phase motors and circuits.
• Understanding of wire VFD's, PLC's, relays, contactors, and transformers.
• Efficient with basic hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules and equipment manuals.
