About the position

The Electrician position at Astrix Technology involves troubleshooting electrical and control systems for buildings and equipment, primarily in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment. The role requires responding to emergency calls, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The Electrician will work closely with engineering and facility teams to enhance equipment efficiency and maintain documentation according to company standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and support for all electrical related work
• Perform Preventive Maintenance on Pharmaceutical Process equipment and instruments
• Make minor modifications to equipment, including parts installation and qualification
• Troubleshoot machine breakdowns to minimize delays
• Assist operating department in improving machine and process efficiency
• Work as a team and follow company's standard operating procedures
• Support the engineering team for projects
• Maintain documentation as per company's and cGMP requirements
• Maintain inventory of electrical supplies
• Interact with vendors for identification and procuring parts
• Follow safety rules and regulations as per OSHA and other applicable agencies
• Assist facility team in maintaining facility equipment
• Assist validation team in performing facility and equipment validation
• Perform other functions as required or assigned
• Comply with all company policies and standards

Requirements

• Minimum High school graduate is required; diploma preferred in electrical mechanical field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Pharma Industry (cGMP Environment) in the area of process equipment and facility troubleshooting
• Electrical license in New Jersey is preferred
• Good instrumentation, mechanical, and electrical knowledge/exposure
• Total commitment and willingness to work under time/work pressure
