About the position
The Electrician position at Aerotek involves performing preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within a facility. The role requires expertise in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing various electrical distribution systems, including high and low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and voice and data systems. The Electrician will work primarily during the first shift, Monday through Friday, and will be responsible for ensuring the safety and functionality of electrical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and reactive work orders on electrical systems.
- Install and connect power supply wiring and conduit for lighting and equipment.
- Troubleshoot and support production controls and automation components.
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers and motors.
- Maintain electrical distribution equipment including 3 phase and single phase systems.
- Replace faulty electronic components like printed circuit boards and relays.
- Install wiring and electrical apparatus in compliance with NEC standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical utilities and equipment.
Requirements
- 3 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with high and low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, and voice and data systems.
- Basic knowledge of diagnosing and repairing electrical apparatus.
- Ability to maintain electrical distribution equipment.
