The Electrician position at Ur-Energy in Rawlins, Wyoming, is a critical role responsible for maintaining electrical systems across various project sites, including operating wellfields, processing facilities, and ancillary buildings. The successful candidate will be tasked with the field connection of powerlines to wellfield transformers and motor-control centers, ensuring the seamless operation of new production areas. All work performed must adhere to the specifications and requirements set forth by building and safety code regulations in the State of Wyoming. In this role, the electrician will assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using both hand tools and power tools. Diagnosing malfunctioning systems and utilizing test equipment to locate breakdown causes is essential. The electrician will also plan the layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures based on job specifications and local codes, ensuring compliance with safety standards. The position requires testing electrical systems and the continuity of circuits in various electrical components, using approved testing devices while maintaining safety protocols. Inspecting electrical systems to identify hazards and defects is a key responsibility, as is advising management on the potential hazards of continued equipment operation.
