About the position
The Electrician position at the Department of the Air Force involves installing, repairing, troubleshooting, and maintaining various electrical systems, controls, and equipment. Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace electrical lines, circuits, systems, fixtures, panels, switches, breakers, and controls.
- Troubleshoot problem areas and inspect for defective equipment and faulty wiring.
- Use and maintain various hand and power tools for electrical work.
- Follow established safety practices and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures.
- Skill in using and maintaining hand tools and power tools for electrical work.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with hazardous materials handling.
- Valid operator's license to drive a motor vehicle to work sites.
