About the position
HRI, Inc. is seeking Electricians to join their team in Central Pennsylvania. This role involves working on heavy civil construction projects, particularly in the utilities construction sector, which includes water and wastewater treatment plants. The position offers year-round work and requires travel to various project sites.
Responsibilities
- Read Electrical Power & Control drawings and take direction from project foreman
- Cut, bend, and install various types of conduits (PVC, EMT, GRC, IMC, PVC-COATED, etc.)
- Install various wire types and troubleshoot electrical problems with existing systems
- Install control and distribution apparatus, such as switches, relays, and circuit-breaker panels
- Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical compatibility and safety using testing instruments
- Observe functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments or repairs
- Disassemble and repair defective electrical equipment or systems
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving history
- Electrical Apprenticeship or Journeyman certification
- Previous experience and knowledge with commercial electrical installation and/or related fields preferred
