About the position

The Industrial Controls Technician at Cenveo is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating, and repairing process control systems within the manufacturing plant. This role is crucial for ensuring operational uptime and continuous improvement in the plant's electrical design and systems. The technician will work in a dynamic environment, focusing on preventive maintenance and supporting the latest electrical and electronic equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical equipment and circuits
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and program PLC terminals
  • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical/electronic systems, control devices, circuits and components, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance routes
  • Maintain clean and orderly housekeeping standards in work areas
  • Work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environment
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program

Requirements

  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical schematics
  • Experience with single and 3-phase electrical repair and troubleshooting up to 480 Volts
  • Coordination, communication and/or team problem solving between departments
  • Willingness to work overtime/other shifts if needed
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice-to-haves

  • Two (2) year degree or higher in Electrical Technology
  • At least three (3) years industrial electrical repair and/or industrial maintenance experience
  • Experience troubleshooting Allen Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC's)
  • Experience with Ladder Logic, VFD's and motor control devices
  • Experience with Giddings & Lewis, Indramat, Yaskawa, Allen Bradley, Siemens, Profibus, Reliance Automate platforms
  • Experience working in a paper / print / corrugate manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other PC-based production reporting systems applications
