Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems including power distribution, motors, controls, VFDs and PLCs.
  • Plan layouts of electrical systems.
  • Read blueprints.
  • Install new electrical equipment and wiring as per NEC and State of Oregon electrical codes.
  • Install rigid electrical conduit and pulling wire through conduit.
  • Use electrical testing equipment such as oscilloscope, meters, and meggers.
  • Utilize CMMS to track and complete work orders.
  • Support other maintenance functions following plant and region policies.
  • Work in a safe manner by complying with all company safety policies to include the utilization of required PPE.
  • Maintain a high degree of quality in performance and methods with regards to efficiency and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A valid Oregon Manufacturing Plant Journeyman license or higher, or the ability to obtain a license prior to date of hire.
  • Ability to work all shifts.
  • Pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug test and physical assessment.
  • Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time, bend, stoop, twist, squat, kneel and work in other awkward positions.
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including power distribution, motors, controls, PLCs, VFDs.

Nice-to-haves

  • PLC programming skills.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Maximo, SLC 500, PLC V and/or ControlLogix.
  • Work experience in an industrial environment.
