About the position

The Electrification Integration Senior Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Livonia, MI, plays a crucial role in the technical integration, functionality, and delivery of electrification technology into CNH Industrial programs. The engineer will work collaboratively within a team to ensure that electrification systems and components are effectively integrated into machines, adhering to program requirements and best practices established by CNH Industrial. In this role, the engineer will provide essential engineering support and leverage their electrification knowledge and experience to design and integrate electrified or hybrid systems into future CNH Industrial products. This includes working closely with electrification teams to ensure that all subsystems and components are integrated according to specified requirements. The engineer will also support the definition of system and component-level requirements, as well as the high voltage system architecture, taking into account technology and performance expectations from customers. Safety is a paramount concern, and the engineer will be responsible for conducting safety assessments of controlled systems in compliance with homologation, directives, and liability laws. The role involves developing solutions to integration challenges, defining system validation specifications, and executing test plans. The engineer will also play a part in standardizing systems and functions across different platforms, assisting in project management and planning in accordance with CNH Industrial's Global Product Development (GPD) process. Regular presentations of technical status and project reviews will be required, ensuring that all updates are well-documented. The position requires up to 15% travel to North America and Korea as needed, with the flexibility of telecommuting permitted up to three days per week. The salary range for this position is between $118,290 and $160,600 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the technical integration, functionality, and delivery of electrification technology into CNH Industrial programs.
  • Work on a team to bring new electrification technologies to the CNHi portfolio of products.
  • Support cross-functional teams to ensure electrification systems and components are integrated into machines according to program requirements.
  • Provide engineering support and electrification knowledge for the design and integration of electrified or hybrid systems.
  • Work with electrification teams to ensure all subsystems/components are integrated according to requirements.
  • Support the definition of system and component level requirements.
  • Assist in defining electrification high voltage system architecture considering technology and product/customer performance expectations.
  • Conduct safety assessments of controlled systems in line with homologation, directives, and liability laws.
  • Develop solutions to integration challenges while integrating electrification systems into machines.
  • Define system validation specifications, test plan definition, and plan execution.
  • Secure standardization of systems and functions among different platforms.
  • Assist in project management and planning in line with CNH Industrial GPD process.
  • Present technical status and support project reviews and milestones with documented updates.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Automotive Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience as a Systems Engineer, Product Engineer, or related occupation working with electrified components and architectures.
  • One year of experience in system design, architecture, integration, and validation.
  • One year of experience with DFMEA, DVP, R, and BOM.
  • One year of experience in model-based systems engineering using Design V model.
  • One year of experience with CAD tools and CAE - design support.
  • Experience in performing engineering requirements and test case management.
