About the position

The Industrial Electro Mechanic position is a full-time role focused on the maintenance and repair of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment within a leading manufacturer of specialized metals. This role is critical in ensuring the efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability of production and facilities equipment. The Electro Mechanic will be responsible for performing preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues, and repairing failures that may arise in production equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in 3 phase 480V electrical systems, controls ladder logic troubleshooting, and experience with preventive maintenance programs. In this role, the Electro Mechanic will work closely with production associates and management to identify and resolve production issues, ensuring maximum production efficiencies. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in the repair and maintenance of various equipment, including control panels, PLCs, lift systems, and conveyor shafts. Familiarity with Allen Bradley Control Logix Processors and RSLogix 5000 is highly desired, along with a solid understanding of control system design and network communication interfaces. This role is essential for maintaining the operational integrity of the manufacturing process and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks on production and facilities equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair failures of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical problems and determine corrective actions using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs.
  • Work directly with production associates and management to resolve production issues and enhance production efficiencies.
  • Observe mechanical devices in operation to identify causes of trouble.
  • Utilize technical knowledge in PLC control systems, high voltage equipment, and process instrumentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years experience in repair and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Experience with control panels, PLCs, lift systems, conveyor shafts, and motor and bearing replacement.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley Control Logix Processors and RSLogix 5000.
  • Understanding of control system design and network communication interfaces.
  • Technical knowledge in PLC applications, line drives, and data acquisition.
