About the position

The Electro-Mechanical Assembly position involves setting up test apparatus and conducting tests on electronic assemblies and units. The role requires assembling units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications, adjusting and calibrating systems, and troubleshooting malfunctions. The position is critical in ensuring the quality and performance of products in a dynamic production environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up test apparatus and conduct tests of electronic assemblies and units.
• Lay out and assemble units for production electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.
• Adjust and calibrate systems as required.
• Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components as directed.
• Use hand and small power tools, and various measuring and testing devices in performing job duties.
• Determine types of tests to be performed and approve modifications to testing equipment.
• Analyze test results to evaluate performance of products and equipment.
• Assist engineers in design and development of test procedures for new products.
• Recommend product improvements or manufacturing modifications.
• Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• Troubleshoot to the component level using schematic diagrams to isolate failures on Analog and Digital circuitry.

Requirements

• 1 year of direct experience in electro-mechanical assembly.
• Proficient in component level troubleshooting of solid state, digital, and RF circuits.
• Able to use Microsoft Suite and other data collection programs to accurately document maintenance actions.
• Experience with flying probe/high power testing.
