About the position

As an Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC), you will be part of a team that designs and develops advanced technology systems for military and civil applications. This role involves working on complex electronic packaging, coordinating design activities, and interfacing with various functional groups to ensure successful project execution. You will contribute to innovative solutions that address critical challenges in aerospace and defense.

Responsibilities

  • Lower Tier Future Interceptor IRAD design.
  • Familiarity with complex packaging of electronics cards, cable and harnesses, and supporting mechanical structures.
  • Coordinate packaging design, trade studies, design assurance activities, and programmatic reviews with functional management, program leadership, and customers.
  • Electrical Harness/Cable, Printed Wiring Board (PWB) and Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design.
  • Interface effectively with multiple functional groups including structural and thermal analysts, configuration management, electrical and mechanical designers, subcontracts, planning, and quality personnel during design, engineering documentation release, assembly, inspection, and test processes.

Requirements

  • CREO and Pro/Cable experience
  • PTC Windchill, Windchill PLM database software
  • ASME Y14.5 and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and tolerance stack-up analysis
  • CCA/PWB Design experience
  • Must have a secret Clearance

  • Experience with Zuken E3 and Mentor
