About the position

The Electro-Mechanical Field Service Engineer role at Actalent involves installing and maintaining equipment at customer facilities, providing technical assistance, and ensuring effective communication between the customer and the company. The position requires significant travel, with responsibilities including troubleshooting, analyzing performance reports, and coordinating with engineering teams to resolve issues.

Responsibilities

  • Installs new or modified equipment at customer's facility
  • Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives
  • Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action
  • Coordinates problem resolution with engineering
  • Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
  • Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and processes
  • Develops service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations and engineering changes
  • Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer.

Requirements

  • 3 years plus of previous field service experience
  • Electrical experience- commercial
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring and Conduit Requirements
  • Understanding of sensors and operating mechanisms
  • Previous experience troubleshooting motors

  • Associates or Bachelor's in Engineering
