About the position
The Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician role involves performing maintenance and repairs on various machinery and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This position is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of plant facilities and equipment, with a focus on both mechanical and electrical systems. The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Performing all aspects of plant facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
- Working on motors, motor controls, hydraulics, and PLC programming.
- Maintaining dryers and conducting general maintenance.
- Repairing, performing preventative maintenance, and diagnosing various types of machinery and extrusion equipment.
- Maintaining and repairing machinery.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance required without a degree.
- Electrical and mechanical experience highly preferred.
- Experience with motors, hydraulics, switches, and controls.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Nice-to-haves
- PLC experience preferred.
- Some sort of mechanical or electrical degree highly preferred, or willingness to obtain one.
- Knowledge of basic tools.
- Deadline and detail-oriented.
