About the position

The Electro Mechanical Service Technician role at Howard J. Porta Inc. involves troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various commercial food equipment. This position requires both electrical and mechanical skills, with additional training provided to enhance expertise in the field. The normal work hours are from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with expectations for overtime and on-call work.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and mechanical issues in commercial food equipment.
• Repair and maintain cooking, food preparation, ware washers, weigh wrap, and baking equipment.
• Provide excellent customer service during service calls.
• Complete necessary documentation for repairs and maintenance performed.

Requirements

• Experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of commercial food equipment operations and maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Certification in electrical or mechanical repair.
• Experience in the food service industry.
