About the position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 4 is responsible for troubleshooting and performing preventative and predictive maintenance on Dematic DMS and conveyor equipment at the Jefferson, GA site. This role acts as a senior technician, mentoring lower-level employees and ensuring the efficient operation of material handling systems. The position requires working the 2nd shift from 1pm to 9pm, with potential overtime and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), including calibrating sensors and component adjustments.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry ranging from 5V to 480V.
• Create and close work orders in the asset management system, documenting labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot AGV problems and identify necessary resources for resolution.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform complex maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Assist in training customers to operate equipment.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically, an Associate's degree or vocational technical training preferred.
• Specialized skill training/certification preferred.
• Demonstrates senior-level knowledge of a technical or specialty area.
• Proven experience in the area of responsibility with successful demonstration of key tasks.
