About the position

The Electro Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all production equipment within the Folding Carton Division at Green Bay Packaging. This role involves working with various systems including electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The technician will also perform general building maintenance and ensure the smooth operation of production equipment during the 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Performing preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Troubleshooting breakdowns and performing repairs
• Installing equipment and electrical systems including cable trays and conduits
• Troubleshooting and programming PLCs
• Replacing and installing lighting fixtures as required
• Conducting general building maintenance
• Completing all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Good troubleshooting ability and manual dexterity
• Ability to read and comprehend schematics and blueprints
• Strong electrical and mechanical skills
• Familiarity with AC, DC, low voltage, and 480V equipment
• Knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Ability to climb ladders and work with aerial platforms
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multi-task and work independently and in a team environment
• Willingness to work 3rd shift (Sunday - Thursday 10pm-6am) with some overtime/weekend work
• Associate's degree in Electro/Mechanical Technology or equivalent experience
