About the position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician role involves assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems. This position is critical in ensuring that all electrical equipment meets regulatory codes and safety standards. The technician will work with various electrical components and systems, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the functionality and safety of electrical installations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures.
• Maintain electrical equipment to meet regulatory codes at the country, state, and federal levels.
• Perform safety-related functions and other miscellaneous electrical functions.
• Configure Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Safely utilize a forklift and high lift for various tasks.
• Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
• Perform work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Test and troubleshoot electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and megaohm meters.
• Utilize a systematic approach to troubleshoot and problem-solve electrical issues.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of 24v troubleshooting and PLC experience.
• Journeyman electrician certification.
• Experience working on automated machines.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Stable work tenure with no frequent job changes.
• Flexibility to work different schedules as needed.
• Immediate availability for interview and start if selected.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice-to-haves

• Preferred Electrician License or completion of a two-year electrical program.
