About the position

As an Electro-Mechanical Technician at East Penn Manufacturing, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and installing industrial manufacturing equipment and systems. This position offers a consistent schedule with guaranteed 40 hours per week, along with opportunities for overtime, ensuring a stable work environment. The average wage for this role starts at $29 per hour and can increase based on experience and performance. You will be responsible for producing high-quality products while adhering to proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices. Regular attendance and the ability to work mandatory overtime are essential for this position. Your responsibilities will include repairing and rebuilding replacement parts for industrial manufacturing equipment, performing welding fabrication, and installing piping. Basic electrical troubleshooting will also be a part of your daily tasks. You will be expected to maintain a high standard of work and perform other duties as requested by management. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to quality and safety in all aspects of your work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and install industrial manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Repair and rebuild replacement parts for industrial manufacturing equipment and systems.
  • Perform welding fabrication.
  • Install piping as required.
  • Conduct basic electrical troubleshooting.
  • Maintain regular attendance and work mandatory overtime as needed.
  • Produce high-quality products and adhere to hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting purposes with guidance.
  • Working knowledge of required programming software for troubleshooting and changing timers and counter preset values.
  • Experience with test equipment such as amprobe, voltmeter, and oscilloscope.
  • Ability to identify different families of processors and understand software and cabling for PC to PLC communication.
  • Basic understanding of Windows and DOS commands for file transfer and copy.
  • Some basic understanding of electronics and applied knowledge of the NEC with guidance.
  • Mechanical skills including basic welding, knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic operations, and understanding of pipe sizes and mechanical terminology.
  • Physical ability to bend, twist, walk extensively, lift up to 50 lbs, and possess good hand-eye coordination.
  • Valid state driver's license.
