About the position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician at Prime UV-IR Systems, Inc. is responsible for in-house assembly and testing of UV LED, Arc UV, and IR & Air Impingement Drying systems. This role requires strong mechanical and electrical skills, along with customer service capabilities, to provide field support, installation, troubleshooting, and training to customers primarily in North America. The technician will work closely with production personnel and engineers to ensure quality and efficiency in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building UV LED, Arc UV and IR & Air Impingment Drying systems on the production floor.
• Work with production personnel along with mechanical & electrical engineers.
• In-house testing of UV LED, Arc Lamp UV Curing Systems, IR & Air Impingement Drying systems.
• Troubleshoot customer problems both in the field and over the telephone/internet.
• Install and start up UV LED, Arc Lamp UV Curing Systems & IR & Air Impingement Drying systems at customer facilities primarily in North America.
• Keep detailed reports of the systems upon which you perform service and/or support.
• Assist with special projects and perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with PLCs and HMIs.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and experience with mechanical hand and power tools.
• Ability to train operators and maintenance personnel in operation of equipment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software.

Nice-to-haves

• Degree or training in electrical engineering or engineering technology.
• CAD experience beneficial but not necessary.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields.
• Familiarity with assembly tools and basic electrical testing equipment.
