About the position

We are looking for a skilled Electromechanical Technician to join our team in Bartow, FL. This full-time position involves performing a variety of electrical and electronic maintenance tasks to support production operations. The technician will work closely with programmable logic controllers, troubleshoot complex equipment, and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, electronic controllers, and equipment to support manufacturing.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in electrical systems using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance as outlined by the Maintenance Department.
  • Assist in organizing and cleaning the work area at the end of each shift and ensure all safety and hygiene standards are met.
  • Promptly report any electrical, communication, or equipment issues that could impact production.
  • Support equipment startups, assist operators, and manage shutdowns in compliance with safety protocols.
  • Perform assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance on production equipment and ensure wiring meets safety codes.
  • Read blueprints, sketches, and manuals to accurately locate and address wiring and equipment needs.
  • Order parts and maintain inventory records, ensuring equipment is always ready for use.
  • Perform tasks from ladders and scaffolding following all safety regulations.
  • Install conduits and wiring, and provide estimates for electrical materials and services as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Electromechanical Technician or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and experience with preventive maintenance.
  • Ability to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues using standard testing devices.
  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical diagrams.
  • Must maintain a current electrician's license or certification as required by governmental regulations.
  • Commitment to safety, hygiene, and adherence to GMPs.
