About the position

DCS Corporation is seeking a skilled Electro-Mechanical Technician to join our Vehicle Integration Team. This position involves the physical assembly and integration of cables, hardware, and various Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) on Ground Vehicles and Simulators. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual who is reliable and capable of working closely with a diverse team of Managers, Engineers, and Technicians. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, as well as the ability to fabricate and modify components to meet specific requirements. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating MIL Spec cable harnesses in accordance with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards and DCS build process documentation. You will install electrical cabling and equipment into Ground Vehicles and Simulators, ensuring that all installations meet the required specifications. Additionally, you will be tasked with modifying and repairing electrical and mechanical issues in base vehicle platforms as needed, which may involve fabricating or modifying bracketry and boxes for custom installations. The position demands a high level of accuracy and the ability to complete assignments with minimal supervision. You will also be responsible for maintaining tools and equipment, ensuring that all work is performed safely and efficiently. This role is critical to the success of our projects, and your contributions will directly impact the performance and reliability of our vehicles and simulators.

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate MIL Spec cable harnesses in accordance with the IPC/WHMA-A-620 and DCS build process documentation.
  • Install electrical cabling and equipment into Ground Vehicles and Simulators.
  • Modify/repair electrical/mechanical issues in base vehicle platforms as needed.
  • Fabricate/modify bracketry and boxes for custom installs.
  • Produce accurate work and complete assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a secret clearance.
  • High School diploma with 7 years of experience in a related field.
  • Experience drilling, grinding, and modifying mechanical assemblies.
  • Knowledge of computer systems and other relevant electronics.
  • Cable fabrication experience and ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience building Mil-Spec cables.
  • Experience welding.
  • Experience running machines such as an End Mill or Lathe.
  • Experience in PCB soldering/fabrication.
  • Knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems on Ground Vehicles such as MRAP, Stryker, Bradley, JLTV, HMMWV, and/or FMTV.
  • CDL.
