About the position

The Electro-Mechanical Technician at Acutronic USA is responsible for performing a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks to support production projects. This role requires hands-on experience in assembly, testing, and diagnostics of mechanical or electrical assemblies, and involves working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The technician will utilize electro-mechanical tools and devices, follow schematics, and ensure quality control throughout the assembly process.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks using electro-mechanical tools and devices.
  • Work from schematics and work instructions to construct developmental assemblies, subassemblies, and components.
  • Assemble parts or units, and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, sub-assemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools.
  • Inspect, test, and troubleshoot subcomponents and completed units to ensure they meet specifications, tolerances, and requirements.
  • Disassemble faulty units and replace parts as necessary.
  • Follow step-by-step instructions and document deviations with quality assurance checks.
  • Document actions and completion of process steps by tracking data and entering into production and quality forms.
  • Package product and prepare shipments for delivery.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Advise management on solutions to problems.

Requirements

  • Minimum one to two years of experience in the assembly, testing, or diagnostics of mechanical or electrical assemblies.
  • Certification in one or more IPC Standards: J-STD-001, A-610, A-620, preferred.
  • Prior experience working in an aerospace quality control (AS9100) and manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Manual dexterity, mechanical visualization, and arm/hand steadiness.
  • Proficient level of working mechanical or electrical knowledge.
  • Experience building from work instructions and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read mechanical or electrical drawings, preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with automotive diagnostics.
  • IPC-610 Certification.
