About The Position

Join a team of professionals at TURBOCAM where you will play a crucial role in expanding our services and products to both new and existing market opportunities. This position requires the application of your knowledge and skills in Electrochemistry, Electrochemical Machining theory, and other unconventional machining techniques. As an Electrochemical Process Engineer, you will provide training to our technical staff in the USA and collaborate closely with our customers, suppliers, and subcontractors. Your responsibilities will include defining and executing ECM project plans while adhering to controlled budgets and scopes. It is essential that projects are executed efficiently, with well-supported conclusions. You will empirically derive methods to maximize machining speed, surface finish, safety, process accuracy, repeatability, and profitability. In this role, you will design tooling models and assemblies, create and tolerance drawings, and work with both internal and external resources to manufacture tooling. Conducting research will be a significant part of your job, as you will continue to develop mathematical models that relate process variables—such as electrical, thermal, rheological, and chemical—to interactions like dissolution, transformations, and heating, as well as outputs including shape, smoothness, precision, and waste characteristics. You will also research the manufacturing fields to identify new and upcoming strategies in the ECM field, and explore new processing and systems to mitigate waste while handling hazardous materials safely and in compliance with state regulations. As part of the engineering and management team working on ECM, you will interface with both customers and project resources. Training mechanical engineers and technicians in the basics of chemistry that affect their tasks will be a key responsibility. You will receive training in project management and manufacturing engineering, investigate the causes of variation among machine coolants, and standardize practices to save money and reduce errors. Additionally, you will perform other duties as necessary to support the team and the company's objectives.
