About the position

The Mechanical Assembler/Wire and Cable Assembler and Harnesser role at Aerotek involves assembling subassemblies, performing quality inspections, and testing. The technician will connect wires and harnesses to modules and PCBAs, follow work instructions via a manufacturing execution system (MES), and document the manufacturing process. The position also includes installing firmware and conducting functional testing.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble subassemblies following work instructions via a manufacturing execution system (MES).
  • Connect wires and harnesses to modules and PCBAs using hand tools and small power tools.
  • Document each part of the manufacturing process accurately.
  • Install firmware and run scripts for testing post-assembly.
  • Perform functional testing and troubleshoot as necessary.

Requirements

  • Proficient in using screwdrivers, wire strippers, crimpers, wrenches, torque wrenches, needle nose pliers, and small power tools.
  • Experience with 42Q manufacturing execution system or similar.
  • Competence in using Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
  • Ability to install firmware and run scripts for testing.
  • Strong computer skills for navigating software programs and entering data accurately.
