About the position

As an Electromechanical Engineer at Marmon Foodservice Technologies, Inc., you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing electromechanical engineering solutions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, applying engineering best practices, and contributing to the successful execution of projects while developing technical expertise in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, manage, and execute small core or derivative programs by defining project objectives, creating project plans, and establishing timelines and milestones.
  • Contribute to complex product development programs by driving development and validation of the product or subsystems using standard methodologies like Concept Selection, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, and Design Validation Plans.
  • Lead simple 8D issue resolution projects.
  • Lead or participate in the development, testing, validation, and application of electromechanical systems, including motors, sensors, and control systems for MFTA products.
  • Utilize mathematical and computer-based engineering analyses to design innovative and reliable solutions for electromechanical systems, structures, products, or processes.
  • Develop technical drawings, models, and specifications using appropriate engineering software and tools.
  • Conduct testing, collect and analyze data, and interpret test results to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of engineering solutions such as sensors, actuators, and other electromechanical devices.
  • Identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot technical issues, and propose and implement design modifications.
  • Collaborate with Mechanical, Hardware, and Software engineers to develop integrated solutions and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in an engineering role.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Electrical and Mechanical engineering principles, physics, and mathematics.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other engineering tools and applications.
  • Experience with test equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, DVM, Logic Analyzer, Protocol Analyzer).
  • Electronic fabrication experience (e.g., soldering fine pitch parts, harness building, prototype fabrication).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
