About the position
The Electromechanical Inspector position at Verify Inc. involves performing visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies within the aerospace and defense industry. The role requires travel to various supplier facilities to ensure compliance with engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, and industry standards. The inspector will report findings directly to customers using a web application, making attention to detail and strong communication skills essential.
Responsibilities
- Travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Inspect parts according to engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, and industry standards.
- Report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via web application.
- Perform in-process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and sub-assemblies.
- Utilize mechanical inspection tools such as micrometers and calipers for inspections.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 10 years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing.
- Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on machined parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
- Experience with CCA inspection is a must.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and purchase orders.
- Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the AS9102 standard.
- Knowledge of standards J-STD and IPC-A-610.
