About the position

Qualis Corporation is seeking a motivated and skilled Electromechanical Technician to support engineering and production activities. The role involves assisting with the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electromechanical systems, ensuring that they meet specifications and are delivered on time.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble and test electromechanical systems and components.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing issues in electromechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.
  • Maintain tools and equipment used in the assembly and testing processes.
  • Document test results and assist in preparing reports for engineering review.
  • Work with engineers to improve assembly processes and product reliability.
  • Adhere to safety standards and regulations in the workplace.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • An Associate's degree in electronics, mechanical engineering technology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Hands-on experience with assembling and testing electromechanical systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools and testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with CAD software is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and regulations related to electromechanical systems.
  • Certifications in technician fields such as soldering, electronics assembly or cabling is a plus.
