About the position

The Electromechanical Technician role at Aerotek involves executing maintenance activities to ensure safety and quality in a food production facility. The technician will set up, adjust, operate, and maintain automated production equipment while adhering to various regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Execute scheduled and day-to-day activities of the Maintenance Department.
  • Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain various automated production equipment.
  • Perform specific duties in mixing, oven, packaging, scaling, warehouse, quality control, and sanitation.
  • Comply with all federal, state, local, SQF 2000, and company regulations regarding plant safety.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant machinery and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace electrical control devices.
  • Troubleshoot, repair, or replace hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical power components.
  • Utilize PLCs and other automated control systems for repairs.
  • Perform work order repairs, inspections, adjustments, and preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with production and refrigeration personnel to resolve plant and process problems.

Requirements

  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, conveyors, compressors, motors, and pumps.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, repair, or replace electrical control devices such as switches, sensors, and motor starters.
  • Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical power components.
  • Proficiency in using PLCs and automated control systems, including RS Logix and ladder logic reading.
  • Experience in performing work order repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in food manufacturing environments.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations in industrial settings.
