About the position

The Electronic Hardware Development Project Engineer at Boeing Defense & Space will lead design teams in creating innovative avionics solutions across various domains. This role involves managing multi-skilled engineering teams through space-flight design projects, ensuring adherence to programmatic processes, and developing effective solutions to complex challenges.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering leadership to a multi-skilled team, including internal and external resources and customers.
• Develops statements of work (SOW) to meet research and development, ongoing, and new business requirements.
• Creates new concepts to expand product or service lines, anticipating changes and organizing processes accordingly.
• Identifies performance metrics and ensures project breakdown structures (WBS/PBS), schedules, and resource loading are completed by the team.
• Communicates responsibility authority accountability (RAA) to define team members' roles and responsibilities.
• Maintains and distributes the team organization chart as needed.
• Leads project execution to fulfill the work statement.
• Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required throughout the project lifecycle, incorporating lessons learned into strategic improvements.
• Prepares and presents outcomes, assessments, and corrective action initiatives to Boeing management.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience leading teams developing electronics units/products for Aerospace or Aeronautic applications.
• Experience managing earned value for commercial and/or government contracts.
• Experience managing production of electronics units/products for Aerospace or Aeronautic applications.
• Experience managing suppliers producing electronics units/products for Aerospace or Aeronautic applications.
