About the position

As an Electronic Hardware Technician at ManpowerGroup, you will play a crucial role in supporting the components Engineering Team within a consumer/commercial hand-held tools manufacturing company. This position involves working closely with engineers and designers to develop new automotive electronic diagnostic products. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in schematic capture using Cadence, surface mount technology (SMT), and the design of testing fixtures. Additionally, you will be responsible for sourcing electronic products online, which is essential for the role. This is a direct hire position, offering a competitive pay range of $35-43 per hour, plus overtime and benefits. In this role, you will conduct electronic component evaluations, including integrated circuits (I.C), resistors, capacitors, and other components. You will also be involved in electronic circuit prototyping and debugging, which are critical tasks in the development process. Your responsibilities will include assembling and soldering surface mount printed circuit boards, as well as performing non-routine assignments in accordance with the Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products department policy. This will support product development teams by providing technical information, assistance, testing, and the release of products. Furthermore, you will engage in entry-level design work, contributing to the overall success of the engineering team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electronic component evaluations including I.C, resistors, capacitors, and other components.
  • Support engineers and designers in the development of new automotive electronic diagnostic products.
  • Engage in electronic circuit prototyping and debugging.
  • Assemble and solder surface mount printed circuit boards.
  • Perform non-routine assignments in accordance with Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products department policy.
  • Provide technical information, assistance, testing, and release of products to support product development teams.
  • Perform entry-level design work.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or equivalent education and 8 years of experience, or 12 years of experience or demonstrated proficiency in Technician III - Engineering position key tasks for 1 year.
  • Proficient with the Internet for sourcing electronic components, datasheets, etc.
  • Experience in writing and implementing test procedures, analyzing results, and recommending solutions.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and email (preferably MS Outlook).
  • Experience sourcing and evaluating components.
  • Experience in SMT manufacturing process.
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble and/or solder SMT circuit boards.
  • Experience in the circuit board design process including design, schematic capture, circuit board layout, and test/debug.
