About the position
The Production Test Technician role at Vishay Precision Group involves the calibration and testing of precision measurement sensing technologies. The technician will operate both automated and manual test systems, troubleshoot electronic assemblies, and ensure the reliability and accuracy of products used in various applications, including automotive and medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and testing of all PI and MMI products.
- Operate automated calibration and test systems as well as manual test fixtures.
- Troubleshoot failed units and assemblies to the component level.
Requirements
- 1 year of experience as an electronic test technician.
- Proficiency in SMT (surface mount) and/or through-hole soldering skills.
- Familiarity with test instruments such as DMM/DVM, oscilloscopes, function generators, DC calibrators, and frequency counters.
- Knowledge of electronic components including resistors, capacitors, inductors, transistors, transformers, power supplies, relays, switches, connectors, and integrated circuits.
- Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and assembly drawings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
