About the position

Megger is seeking a full-time Electronic Repair Technician to join their team in Phoenixville. This role involves inspecting, repairing, testing, calibrating, and installing electronic assemblies and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards. The technician will work closely with engineers and other technicians, providing mentorship and training to new hires while also handling complex repairs and troubleshooting tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, test, calibrate, and install assemblies and finished products to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Perform assigned activities from oral and/or written instructions, drawings, or other manufacturing information.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate activities to satisfy customer needs on a timely basis.
  • Accept escalations of more difficult repairs.
  • Create and/or modify departmental procedures to ensure all information is available to other technicians.
  • Assist team members on difficult tasks and mentor them to improve their troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Develop processes and training materials for new hires and ASC Training program.
  • Provide exceptional training to new hires and ASCs.
  • Handle materials in accordance with established procedures.
  • Maintain expected progress of jobs in area of assignment and communicate problem areas.
  • Perform in-depth electrical circuit analysis including Analog, Power, High Voltage, and Digital circuits.
  • Set up and use measurement & test equipment in the troubleshooting of electronic products.
  • Determine root cause of failure, solution, and complete subsequent repair.
  • Use hand tools to repair electronic board assemblies and wiring harnesses.

Requirements

  • Associate degree or other applicable technical degree required.
  • 5 or more years of work experience with product repair/service, complex electronic products.
  • Strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Interpersonal skills to interact and contribute in a small team environment.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
  • Complex troubleshooting abilities for electromechanical systems and mechanical issues.
  • Excellent soldering skills and knowledge of soldering techniques.
  • Advanced working knowledge of electrical systems and testing devices.
  • Experience and understanding of product test & calibration methods and fundamentals.
  • Experience working safely with high voltages.
  • Experience with SAP preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical systems, and general repair techniques is advantageous.
  • Intermediate PC skills.
