About the position

The Electronic Research Systems Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the maintenance and management of electronic research administration systems at the University. This position involves data management, system implementation, and providing training and support to ensure the integrity and accessibility of research-related data. The coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of research administration within the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance of current RES data management related systems (Cayuse).
  • Serve as the point of contact for troubleshooting issues and providing training as needed.
  • Collect, clean, combine, and analyze research-related data from multiple sources.
  • Maintain and recommend data standardization processes.
  • Streamline internal processes to ensure data is available, reliable, consistent, accessible, secure, and timely.
  • Assist in the development of future state eRA System requirements and project timelines.
  • Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders regarding eRA system design and implementation.
  • Support the implementation process and management of the electronic research administration system.
  • Provide training and troubleshooting services for the eRA system.
  • Maintain business process documents and address complex transactions.
  • Administer eRA User IDs and access for research administration and grant users.
  • Support the Director in the development of analysis of research proposal and award data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant area.
  • Two to five years of appropriate experience in a data analyst/reporting or business analyst role.
  • Knowledge of data management and data governance.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAS, SQL, and relational databases.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to lay audiences.
  • Experience with database systems and a commitment to customer service.

  • Experience with the business needs of research administration in a Higher Education setting.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn new technological tools as they develop.
  • Demonstrated record of successful collaboration with partners across the organization.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask, being deadline and detail-oriented.
