About the position

The Electronic Security Lead Technician is responsible for the installation and servicing of various security systems, including access control and video surveillance. This role requires a combination of technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and effective communication to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of security solutions for clients in New York and New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Performs service/installation of access control, video surveillance systems, and other various security related systems.
• Perform upgrades and additions to systems in order to increase functionality.
• Perform computer program entry as required to add video cameras, access control and intrusion alarm systems as needed.
• Provide ability to install, service, troubleshoot and program Video Surveillance and access control systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-4 year degree in a technical field from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience installing, servicing and maintaining access control and closed circuit television system preferred.
• Industry certifications for Access Control systems and/or CCTV a plus.
• Knowledge of Genetec, Software House, Continental, Sielox, Exacq and Pelco a plus.
• Experience working as a security service/installation technician preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Technical experience in low voltage systems.
• Detail oriented.
• Must have a current, valid driver's license.
