About the position

The Electronics Technician III position at Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation involves maintaining and operating various electronic systems and equipment, ensuring they function correctly through both planned and unplanned maintenance. The role requires troubleshooting, repairing, and testing equipment, with a focus on signal processing and communication systems. The technician will also be responsible for range maintenance and must adhere to safety regulations while producing quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate electronic systems and equipment including the WISS Control Indicator Group and Camera Group, UHF/VHF air-to-ground radio equipment, and internal communication systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting, disassembling, repairing, aligning, and testing of electronic equipment.
  • Conduct range maintenance tasks such as mowing, painting targets, and building new targets.
  • Climb towers as required for maintenance tasks (optional).
  • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Complete all required training within the specified timeline.
  • Perform all work in a safe and secure manner.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Formal education equivalent to Navy 'C' school or vocational training in electronic equipment maintenance.
  • 1 to 5 years of electronic experience in areas such as digital/analog signal processing, communications, and RF signal processing.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (provided by employer).
  • Current Safety at Heights climber certification.
  • Current RF Radiation Awareness certification (provided by employer).
  • Valid state driver's license with a safe driving record.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with digital/analog computer systems.
  • Knowledge of optical equipment and low voltage AC equipment.
  • Ability to work under tight time constraints in a high-volume environment.
