About the position

The Electronic Technician role at Wise Foods involves conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing various electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. The technician will apply their knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and restore operations, ensuring the machinery in the plant operates efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Conduct maintenance and repairs on electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic equipment, including programmable controls and power supplies.
• Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles.
• Install, start up, and shut down equipment following company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Advise operators and line mechanics on safe operation procedures for equipment.
• Inform management and line mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and dangers.
• Maintain performance and maintenance records for equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed.
• Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
• Assist and train other maintenance and technical-level employees.

Requirements

• 3 years PLC experience.
• ET Certification.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Microsoft Office experience.

Nice-to-haves

• GFSI or equivalent certification.
• Associate degree in a related field.
• Flexible Packing Machine maintenance experience.
