About the position

The Electronics Test Technician at Trane Technologies is responsible for testing and troubleshooting electronic assemblies, specifically printed circuit boards. This role ensures compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory authorities while maintaining high quality and throughput in the testing area. The technician will collaborate with various teams to improve processes and support quality management systems, all while adhering to safety procedures and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Test complex electronic printed circuit boards
  • Maintain high level of board quality and throughput from test area
  • Troubleshoot failed assemblies/test equipment and work with manufacturing engineering as needed
  • Work with inspection rework team members on failed printed circuit boards
  • Provide feedback and assist as needed on development of test procedures
  • Provide input on continuous improvement on test processes
  • Follow safety procedures
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules work instructions, standard work, etc.
  • Ability to meet short and long term deadlines
  • Ability to effectively present information to other team members both written and verbally
  • Effectively meet the needs to internal and external customers (completion of daily schedule)
  • Support the QMS by delivering quality products and services and meeting quality objectives

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Two (2) year Associate Degree in electronics or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in electronics/printed circuit board field preferred
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes including business acumen and understanding assembly operations
  • Ability to collaborate and support various teams to achieve desired outcome
