About the position
The Electronic Test Technician at Zealotech is responsible for testing and troubleshooting various electronic assemblies under the guidance of a group leader. This role involves working with blueprints, schematics, and various test equipment to ensure the quality and functionality of electronic products. The technician will perform a range of testing procedures, assist in modifying test processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives within the company.
Responsibilities
- Test and troubleshoot various electronic assemblies under supervision.
- Work from blueprints, assembly drawings, schematics, and verbal instructions.
- Use production test equipment, including thermal chambers, vibration equipment, and oscilloscopes.
- Perform bench testing, in-process testing, and customer-level final acceptance testing.
- Assist project engineering in modifying test processes and interpreting test data.
- Perform general assembly tasks, including printed wire board assembly and ultrasonic cleaning.
- Maintain certifications for electrostatic discharge and soldering as required.
- Document and record results of testing and repairs.
- Assess repair levels and determine causes of system failures.
- Report unusual circumstances to supervision as required.
Requirements
- Education in basic mathematics including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a related field.
- Ability to comply with instructions and prescribed routines.
- Light physical effort with occasional lifting of materials up to 60 lbs.
- Continuous mental and visual attention required for testing operations.
Nice-to-haves
- Knowledge of ISO 9000 and statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with personal computers and software for documentation.
