About the position

The Electronic Test Technician role at Staff Finders Technical involves collaborating with design and test engineers to build test fixtures, debug circuitry, and perform maintenance and testing of equipment. The technician will be responsible for setting up and testing electric motors and inverters, diagnosing defects in electronic assemblies, conducting rework, and maintaining accurate documentation of all processes. This position requires strong technical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members.

Responsibilities

  • Configure and prepare dynamometers for electric motor and/or inverter testing.
  • Perform inspections and tests on electronic assemblies to diagnose defects.
  • Conduct rework on products in compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Build test harnesses, loads, and circuit boards to support product design needs.
  • Accurately document work completed and maintain all necessary records.
  • Notify the supervisor of any process or design issues and assist in implementing corrective actions.
  • Communicate professionally with team members.
  • Design and construct engineering test fixtures as needed.
  • Complete other tasks as required by the supervisor or manager.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree in Electronics, a two-year technical diploma, equivalent military certification, or relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of one year in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering-related roles; three or more years of experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheets, and word processing software.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Ability to read engineering documents, such as schematics or diagrams.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain detailed records and accurately document processes.
  • Proficient in assembling and disassembling products and maintaining lab equipment.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
